Walking and Crafting Experience on Dartmoor (organised by Dartmoor Wool Loft)

This walk is a collaboration between Emma Cunis (Dartmoor’s Daughter) and Natalie Torr and Terri Bate from the Dartmoor Wool Loft.

Come and join us for an immersive and contemplative walk, a journey into the story of our woollen heritage whilst dropping into a deep connection with your craft and the ancient dartmoor landscape.

We will start our day getting to know each other at the Dartmoor Wool Loft in Moretonhampstead and we will then travel together to a beautiful and wild location nearby. Emma will guide us as we explore a moorland rich in the heritage of sheep and wool on Dartmoor, bringing it alive with her stories and wisdom.

The walk is of moderate level with grassy paths and open and hilly moorland. We will invite you to bring along a simple craft to do whilst taking breaks or walking along the simpler tracks.

£50 including cake and refreshments at the Dartmoor Wool Loft.. Please bring along any other food or drinks you might need for the walk.

10% off at the Dartmoor Wool Loft on the day.

FACILITATORS:

Dartmoor Wool Loft

The Dartmoor Wool Loft is a friendly and welcoming community space and shop for anyone who crafts with yarn and fleece or anyone who would like to learn these skills.

We're passionate about the positive impact crafting can have on well-being. We provide a cosy space where you can take a break, unwind, indulge in crafting, and make new friends over a cup of tea or coffee.

Everyone is welcome regardless of age or skill level. Whether you're just starting out and want to learn some new skills, or are a pro in knitting, crocheting, spinning, weaving, looming, or felting, we can't wait to connect with you.

Our well stocked shop specialises in beautiful and affordable British yarns with a focus on fleece, yarns and handmade items from south west producers and artisans.

We are also keen to support people to mend, recycle and repurpose clothing that would otherwise be thrown away. We stock fleeces and yarns from local producers who practise regenerative agriculture.
