Join Dartmoor's Daughter in a unique opportunity to experience first hand how a Dartmoor farm is managed to balance wildlife, nature, archaeology, and public enjoyment along with some food production. 'Mark & Naomi are farmers with a passion for conservation' Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall (Hugh's Wild West, BBC TV)
We will walk up along Challacombe Down to the triple stone row above Headland Warren with its stunning view of Grimspound and nearby burial cairns. And then back down the valley to Challacombe farm where we will meet some of the lambs; hear cuckoos and other birds; see a profusion of spring flowers; as well as explore some of the fascinating prehistory and medieval archaeology as well as tin mining remains.
