Enter into the world of fungi with Dartmoor's Daughter, Devon's top mycologist Dr Christian Taylor, and Daniel Thompson-Mills of Steward Community Woodland. On a walk through the woods you will learn how to identify edible and other fungi and find out all about this marvellous kingdom of nature. We will fry up any edible mushrooms we find as a delicious treat at the end.
LEVEL: EASY - we will be walking at a slow pace with plenty of stops for approximately 2 miles. We will mostly be on woodland paths but there are gentle slopes to walk up and down.
WHAT TO WEAR/BRING: Plenty of warm layers, sturdy walking shoes or wellies, waterproof jacket and trousers (Dartmoor weather is unpredictable), hat, gloves, as well as picnic lunch and drink/flask.
Sorry no dogs.
