Stories from the Stones - Wander, Wonder & Writing Workshop

Stones stories.jpg

Have you ever sat in the ruins of a prehistoric round house and wondered what memories the granite might hold? Returning from their day tending crops, hunting, gathering, or building did ancient people sit around the fire and tell stories, or sing together whilst they felted wool, or whisper secrets as children slept?

Join Dartmoor's Daughter for a gentle walk combined with periods of sitting, silence, and writing amidst an extraordinary landscape of magnificent granite tors, rock basins, wild ponies, and ruinous Bronze and Iron Age settlements. Invitations, provocations, and prompts will be offered to stimulate your creativity. Poems, stories, songs, or just a single sentence or two are welcome - there's no judgement and no pressure to perform or share if you don't feel moved to. This is a simple exploration of land, living, and being.

Tickets

FEE: £20 per person. Group size is limited to ensure enjoyment for all, so pre-booking is essential. A small portion of your fee will be donated to Donate for Dartmoor and the Dartmoor Search and Rescue Teams.
