'We don't need to reconnect to nature, we are nature.' Discover wholeness and health as Brigit Anna McNeil and Dartmoor's Daughter lead you on a journey into the moor and the woods along the river to explore Spring's edible offerings.
You will learn how to identify edible seasonal plants and leaves, seeds, flowers, and roots. And understand how to prepare them for cooking and eating or for potent medicines to nourish, strengthen or cleanse. We will make something simple as a taster together or share a wild tea. This will be determined by what we find on the day.
Level: Easy. Approximately 2 miles, the pace will be gentle with many stops along the way but you will need to be agile enough to walk over a few rocky sections, and cross a small stream.
What to bring/wear: Sturdy walking boots, warm layers and waterproof jacket with trousers (no matter the weather forecast); sunscreen, drink; and something to sit on.
Where to meet: To be advised...
Car sharing is recommended.
Cancellation Policy: The walk will go ahead come rain or shine. If there are strong winds or storm warnings so that the conditions are dangerous or deeply unpleasant, then we may postpone to ensure the group's safety. Please keep an eye on your emails 12-24 hours pre-event for any notifications from us. Sorry no refunds unless event is postponed or cancelled.
Risk: No liability accepted for accidents or incidents.
